Induction heating is usually preferred to flame heating when brazing frames as very small joints are just brazed for a few seconds and the operation is often repeated under controlled temperature (< 560°C). The choice of the filler metal is restricted to high silver alloys (45% - 56% Ag) with low melting points (thanks to their wetting and capillary properties), in annealed wire form, normally in the thinnest diameters (< 0,5mm), wound on reels.

Due to the difficulties in post-braze cleaning a very fine powder flux or a smooth creamy paste flux is to be suggested to get sound joints.
